    Catskill Regional Medical Group’s New Monticello Location featuring Urgent Care and Primary Care:

    Catskill Regional Medical Group held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for its new Monticello office on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. The event commemorated the start of construction on the project that, once complete, will house new Urgent Care and Primary Care services for Catskill Regional Medical Group.  The new Monticello location is the fourth for Catskill Regional Medical Group with existing offices in Harris, Livingston Manor and Callicoon.

    The 11,000-square-foot building will also feature x-ray, ultrasound and CT scan technology as well as 12 exam / procedure rooms and laboratory services. Situated on the corner of Route 42 and Concord Road in the Town of Thompson, the location will allow easy access to patients traveling in either direction on State Route 17. Completion of the building is expected in 2017.

    Responsibilities

    Nurse Practitioner 

     

    This position reports to the Medical Director of the Department of Urgent Care and Community Medicine and works under a collaborative agreement with an assigned Urgent Care Provider working in the Medical Group.  The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner will triage and assess patients presenting for acute evaluation and treatment in the office and ambulatory settings, including walk-in patients without appointments providing care including but not limited to broken bones and lacerations.  Provides consultation services and takes appropriate history & physicals and assumes a leadership role with multidisciplinary treatment team members.  Oversees clinical care of patients assigned to team; ensures appropriate documentation of care.  Is a partner in an interdisciplinary team of urgent and primary care givers, specialty providers and administrative support staff to perform assigned duties while displaying the highest of standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Orange Regional Medical Group, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients.

     

    Physician Assistant

    Qualifications

    Nurse Practitioner

     

    Minimum Education:

    Masters in Nursing required

    Post Masters Certificate – Family Nurse Practitioner

    Doctor of Nursing Practice - preferred

    Minimum Experience:

    Minimum of 1 year post-Master’s degree in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting with emphasis on care of patients with a wide range of acute illness.

    Required Certification/Registration:

    NYS Nurse Practitioner License – Family

    BLS, ACLS & PALS Certification required

    DEA Certification, valid and unrestricted

    Board Certification in Family Nursing as a practitioner (general or specialized) from the ANCC or the AANP within one year of hire

     

     

    Physician Assistant

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

     

     

    Current Physician’s Assistant Licensure in New York State

    Graduate of an Accredited Physician’s Assistant Program

    Current unrestricted and valid D.E.A. Registration

    Successful completion and maintenance of National Commission on Certification of PA’s

    BLS, ACLS & PALS Certification Required

     

     

    Minimum Experience:

    Minimum of 1 year post-Master’s degree in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting with emphasis on care of patients with a wide range of acute illness.

     

     

    Physical Requirements:

    Mobility required.

    Occasional lifts (up to 35 lbs), positions, restrains, pushes and/or transfers patients.

    Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.

    Working Conditions:

    Works in Urgent Care Clinics as assigned.  Shift schedules to include days, evenings and weekends as scheduled.  Contact with patients and families.  Noise level is usually moderate.   Subject to exposure to blood borne pathogens, dust, fumes, odors, mists, gasses, biological, mechanical, electrical, chemical and other hazardous materials.  Expected to adhere to the Hospital’s Drug and Smoke Free work environment and to adhere to OSHA mandates and precautionary measures.
