Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS) is a nonprofit corporation located in Middletown, NY, and is the parent company for Orange Regional and Catskill Regional Medical Centers. Orange Regional Medical Center has begun construction on an exciting new 153,000 square foot, five-story physician office building and a 26,000 square foot, single-story cancer center at the hospital’s main campus. When completed in the fall of 2016, the $99 million project will help relocate many outpatient services currently provided at other off-campus locations into new, state-of-the-art buildings on the existing 73-acre hospital campus in Middletown. Both new buildings will be patient-centered healing environments incorporating all the latest technology and amenities for patients and families.
The Urologist position is responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases or disorders of the genitourinary (GU) tract, performing surgery for urological disease or disorders for patients of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System, and is responsible for leadership, coordination, and administration for clinics, hospitals, and other facilities that admit or care for patients. The Urologist works with an interdisciplinary team of primary caregivers and administrative support staff to perform duties while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System, supporting our mission, vision, and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy with Urologic Board certification or eligibility within five (5) years
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience in Urology practice
Current Physician Licensure in New York State
Graduate of an Accredited M.D. or D.O. Program
Current BLS Certification
Board Certification or Current Board Eligibility in Urology within 60 months
DEA registration valid and unrestricted
Physical Requirements: Stands, walks, sits intermittently throughout the day. Lifts, pushes, pulls light to heavy weights as required.
Working Conditions: Work is primarily indoors with exposure to various nursing unit and/or patient care elements. Travel to outside facilities is required.
