Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS) is a nonprofit corporation located in Middletown, NY, and is the parent company for Orange Regional and Catskill Regional Medical Centers. It provides specialty services and medical programs to nearly 450,000 residents in the mid-Hudson and Catskill region and has 3,300 employed professionals and over 850 medical staff members. Orange Regional Medical Center has begun construction on an exciting new 153,000 square foot, five-story physician office building and a 26,000 square foot, single-story cancer center at the hospital’s main campus. When completed in the fall of 2016, the $99 million project will help relocate many outpatient services currently provided at other off-campus locations into new, state-of-the-art buildings on the existing 73-acre hospital campus in Middletown. Both new buildings will be patient-centered healing environments incorporating all the latest technology and amenities for patients and families.
Responsible for providing appropriate urgent and walk-in care to all patients that present for treatment at the appropriate office for this care including but not limited to broken bones and lacerations. Provides leadership, coordination and administration to this service line for Orange Regional Medical Center. The Physician is a partner in an interdisciplinary team of primary care givers, specialty providers and administrative support staff to perform assigned duties while displaying the highest of standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Orange Regional Medical Group, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients.
Board Certified or Board Eligible, M.D. or D.O. licensed to practice in the State of New York possessing an unrestricted DEA certification while maintaining required staff membership at Orange Regional Medical Center
Degree of M.D. or D.O. with recognized Family Medicine residency by ABFM or the AOBFP or with recognized Emergency Medicine residency by ABEM or AOBEM or with recognized Medicine and Pediatrics residency programs by both the ABIM or AOBIM & the ABP or ABOP (three years minimum)
Professional clinical experience in Urgent Care Practice in either Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine or combined Internal and Pediatric Medicine
NYS Medical License, valid and unrestricted
Board Certification in Family Practice, Medicine and Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine or achieved within five (5) years of the completion of training, is required. Urgent Care Certification, preferred, within three (3) years of hire
BLS, ACLS & PALS certification required
DEA Certification, valid and unrestricted
New York State Education Department Approved Child Abuse Training Certification
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the practice of internal medicine or family medicine.
